Me & Lliam

I have just come to the end of my degree at Lincoln.  It’s scary to think though that my three years here has finally ended, and I’ve managed to get the First Class Honours I’ve always dreamt of. I feel like I’ve not stopped working for the last three years, so I’m really pleased that my hard work has paid off (well that and the copious amounts of chocolate I bribed my tutors with, I joke :P).

Career Aim

If we ignore my first year at college where I had aspirations of becoming an architect, I have always wanted to become a teacher, but more specifically a Travel and Tourism teacher within further education. After finishing college I got rather comfortable in a part time job, and one day I was discussing my future with my partner Lliam, who said to me;

If you don’t go now Claire, you’ll never go

He was most definitely right. As much as it pains me to admit it when he is. So it was time for me to make a change and pursue my dream career.

I’m passionate about tourism & education, and I love helping others. It is my dream to be able to put the two of these into practice together.  In September 2016 I began my PGCE in the lifelong learning sector at the University Centre in Doncaster College. And so ‘the worst year of my life’ or so they say, is about to begun!

Personal Life

Looking at my personal life, I have an older brother Craig who is 28, engaged, with one daughter Maddison. I love being Auntie Claire!

Here’s my gorgeous niece Maddisson

My partner Lliam and my Syrian hamster Arya are my life. I really enjoy making my own handmade cards. I’m also a big dark tourism enthusiast, and find anything associated with it extremely fascinating.
