Hi again everyone, I thought for my second post here (and to get me used to blogging) I’d do a little Q&A about myself, so you know who your’re reading about.
1. What’s my job title and where do I work?
Currently an undergraduate student studying for a BA (Hons) in International Tourism Management at The University of Lincoln.
2. What am I currently working on?
It’s my third and final year at university, so I am currently attempting to wade my way through the sea of work which has floated my way this year. But, I’m over half way through it now! Obviously I am also trying to find time to apply for my PGCE and do all the preparation for that too. If uni has taught me anything it’s that time management skills are crucial.
3. Where have I come from?
I’m from Scunthorpe, I went to Brumby Engineering College Secondary College (now Outwood Academy) and I took my A levels at John Leggott Sixth From College. I then took two years out from education before going to Lincoln to do my degree.
4. What gets me up in the morning?
My alarm! Well, lot’s of them. I’m really not a morning person at all, so I normally need at least 3 alarms on different devices to get me up. Followed by a brew, to make me feel human.
5. What keeps me up at night?
I’m a worrier, and at night my head works in overdrive, thinking of all the thing I have to do the next day or in the week. My brain is highly active at night and therefore it can be hard for me to switch off. But…some of my best ideas have materialised at night!
6. Who inspires me?
Lots of different people inspire me really, my mum, my boyfriend, and my college and university tutors all inspiring me to follow my dreams and pursue my dream career. My college tutors Claire and Louise were fantastic and the reason I want to become a teacher, they were just brilliant. And if my teaching can even slightly mirror theirs then I will be more than happy! Then there’s all the teachers and groups I have followed on Twitter, who are all so enthusiastic and inspiring, they make me so excited about starting my journey to become a teacher!
If you want to know even more about me (if you’re not bored by now haha) then see my ‘About Me’ page in the top menu.
Thanks for reading guys, and I’ll catch up with you all soon, hopefully with some posts related to this blog!
